The Triton TRA001 Dual Mode Plunge Router features a powerful 2100W (3-1/4 hp) electronically controlled motor with soft start technology and is perfect for both table-mounted and hand held use.

One of its most useful features is the rack and pinion trunion system that allows the router to switch from Fixed Base to Plunge Router by just pressing a button. Another very convenient feature is the rapid height adjustment system that allows the plunge return spring to be quickly removed so you can mount the router in your table and use the ‘above the table’ micro adjuster.

For enhanced safety, the power switch safety door will not open when the router is compressed into its smallest height, as when you’re changing bits. This way you cannot accidentally turn the router on when making your changes. In order to turn the router ON, expand the router to full height and the door will open again. Then you can make your bit height adjustments as you need to and the router will operate as you’d expect.
