Titebond Instant Bond CA Adhesives (101-540 and 101-541)

When you absolutely, positively need to stick two things to each other in a hurry, Titebond Instant Bond CA Adhesive is here. Available in both Thick and Thin viscosity, this adhesive is perfect for small, difficult to clamp items. This cyanoacrylate (CA) adhesive sets completely within eight seconds and is fully cured in eighteen, and that’s the thick viscosity. The thin viscosity will set in as little as 5 seconds. Used often for small repairs around the house, this thicker formulation performs better on porous materials such as end grain than the thinner formulation for a fast, permanent hold.

Titebond Instant Bond Accelerator (101-545)

There are times when fast just isn’t fast enough. That’s why Titebond came up with the Instant Bond Accelerator as a treating agent for its adhesives that gives you more control over curing times. Apply the accelerator to one surface, then apply any Instant Bond Adhesive to another, and when they touch you’ll have a permanent hold right then and there. This item really comes in handy if your gluing surface is especially acidic or if you’re working in an area of low humidity where curing times can take longer than normal.

The Instant Bond Accelerator is especially good when you’re making repairs to checks or cracks in a surface. Just fill in the area first with a cyanoacrylate (CA) adhesive, then spray with the accelerator. The glue is now instantly set, so you can go straight to sanding your piece flush without having to wait. Just like that, the repair is done and you’re on to more important things.
