Narex Spoon Type Gouges

Narex has established the Profi line of chisels and hand tools for the wood carver who understands the importance of having high quality carving instruments at the ready. Forged from chromium-vanadium steel and heat treated to 59 HRc, this spoon chisel has a stained European beech wood handle that has been formed to an octagonal barrel shape for excellent comfort and control.

With their curved necks, the carver using a spoon type gouge is able to gain extra leverage and achieve cutting angles that aren’t possible for straight-neck gouges.
