The MLIS (Multi-Layer Inlay System) by Tarter Woodworking is an easy-to-use, one-of-a-kind solution for creating complex inlays on your next woodworking project. Using your plunge router and our Brass Inlay Kit, simply rout along the cutouts on each numbered stencil included in each MLIS set to cut out the inlay piece. Then install the included collar on the bushing and rout out the recess for the inlay using the same stencil. It’s that easy.

We also strongly recommend using our Double-Sided Adhesive tape to secure the wood blanks and templates when using the Multi-Layer Inlay System.

NOTE: Our templates are 0.22″ thick and will not work with bushings and inlay kits designed for 1/4″-thick templates. Our Brass Inlay Kit is specially designed and manufactured for use with the MLIS templates.
