Easy Angle Miter Jig – Precision Made Easy
Sliding miter saws are great tools in the shop, and are fantastic for cutting standard angles such as 22-1/2°, 45° and 90° from the fence. And often 45° is the steepest angle you can cut.
But when you need to cut non-standard or steeper angles, accurately setting up the saw’s head angle – or even returning to a prior specialty setting – can be frustrating at best, almost impossible at worst. It can require specialty or single-use shop made jigs just to cut an angle. And you can still end up with compromised results.
Our Easy Angle Miter Jig solves those problems. Instead of changing the miter saw’s cutting head against wood that stays in one position, you change the wood’s position while the cutting head remains at 90° to the standard fence. And the two movable arms provide opposite sides of that angle cut with just one setup!
The EAMJ lets you set angles between 11 and 112° quickly and easily. Slide your favorite digital protractor against the movable arms and lock down the star knobs. The included stop blocks let you repeatedly cut lengths up to 22 inches!
Align your blade to the provided center line and secure your EAMJ against your miter saw’s traditional fence with either screws or clamps. Adjust your sliding miter saw’s depth-of-cut stop to go just below the surface and you’re ready to make your first test cuts!
Easily make any sided polygon you want. Divide a 360-degree circle by how many sides you want in your polygon and use your digital protractor to set the arms to that angle. Then make your cuts! No more bumping and pushing on the arm of the saw to approximate the angle. Achieve exact results, first time!
