This clever kit works with any router baseplate that accepts Porter-Cable-style template guide bushings. When drilling your own holes on a baseplate you need to ensure that the it’s centered on the router. This is critical for accurate routing when using your router in a hand-held application.

The kit comes with a 1/4″-dia. precision centerless ground steel pin that chucks into your router’s 1/4″ collet. The plastic centering disk is C.N.C. machined to precision tolerances and fits over the steel pin and into the center hole in your router baseplate. With the baseplate centered, you can tighten the mounting screws (that you just drilled) which will ensure a perfectly centered router bit.
