Features and Benefits:

The STEEL FRAMING PINS AKN-100-XXXXNA series pins are designed specially for the 500 tool to attach plywood and oriented strand board (OSB) to light gauge steel from 68 mil (14 GA.) to 27 mil (22 GA.). These pins are finished with Aericote® 1000 coating which provides ten times the corrosion protection of electroplated zinc. Unlike wire collation, the plastic coil collation eliminates finish burn-through which initiates corrosion. Refer to IAPMO UES ER-335 for design values for horizontal diaphragm and shear wall construction.
